Feeling like something out of 1960's sci-fi, the pod elevator of the Gateway Arch allows you to scale America's tallest monument in style. Designed by Finnish Architect Eero Saarinen, the elevator "pods" have glass doors to reveal the complex mechanical structure of the Arch's interior. The ride takes around 4 minutes to complete and it's unique design fully entitles it to be on our list of the world's strangest elevators.
